Once again in the ‘eye of the storm’! It seems that Eduardo Yáñez doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake.
Several years ago, the Mexican actor’s name was on everyone’s lips after he slapped a reporter on the red carpet.
Recently, he was involved in a new scandal upon his arrival at the Grandeza Hispana awards.
Hours later, Eduardo Yáñez broke his silence after assaulting reporter Paty Cuevas and taking her phone.
Eduardo Yáñez Admits He Was Wrong
In an interview for the program «De Primera Mano,» Eduardo Yáñez acknowledged that he was wrong to take the phone from reporter Paty Cuevas.
«It’s a shame that everything turned out that way because it was a very nice tribute to (producer) Nicandro Díaz,» he expressed.

Additionally, the actor said that despite Paty Cuevas’ ‘tough’ questions, he has always attended to her, answered her, and ‘endured’ her.
«The organizers started leading me to the red carpet, but the pushing started, the ‘traka traka’ started,» he added.
She Didn’t Want to Take Her Phone Back
Eduardo Yáñez recalled that at that moment, he felt like someone was ‘poking’ his back. He reached out and grabbed a phone, which turned out to be the reporter’s.
«She asked me to give her the phone, and I told her I would give it to her inside,» the actor commented.
He claimed that upon entering the venue, he sent the phone to Paty Cuevas with his assistant, but she no longer wanted to receive it.
«It was clear she was very angry, but everyone gets angry and complains, but I was being pushed and pulled,» he said.
In another part of the interview, Eduardo Yáñez asserted that he did not fight or argue with anyone, nor did he assault the reporter or anyone else.
«I never approached Paty, I never approached her, and I’m trying to clarify things because I’m talking about what I saw and felt from my point of view,» he said.
The actor admitted he was wrong to take Paty Cuevas’ phone, but at that moment, he couldn’t think of anything else to do.
