This measure, announced on Friday, May 3, means Dreamers can access Obamacare tax breaks.

They will be able to sign up for health insurance on the Affordable Care Act marketplace on November 1.

Initially, it was proposed that they should enroll in Medicaid, a health insurance program for low-income people.

However, members of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are now eligible for ACA plans.

The federal government’s decision expands eligibility to enroll in the exchange, changing the definition of «lawfully present» to include DACA participants.

This movement adds to Biden’s efforts to protect the DACA program, says The Associated Press.

However, Vice President Kamala Harris has emphasized the need for permanent action by Congress to ensure lasting protections for Dreamers.

On the other hand, Karoline Leavitt, spokesperson for Trump’s campaign, criticized the decision to allow DACA participants access to Obamacare.
