The country music world is in mourning following the tragic news that one of the founding members of the iconic group The Dixie Chicks, Laura Lynch, has died at the age of 65.
According to The Sun, Lynch was killed in a car accident outside of El Paso, Texas.
The shocking news was revealed by her cousin, Mick Lynch, who reported that Laura was in a collision on Friday while driving from El Paso to Dell City.

Maguire and Strayer, both born Erwin, founded the band in 1989 in Dallas, Texas, alongside bassist Laura Lynch and vocalist-guitarist Robin Lynn Macy.
Specializing in bluegrass and country music, they spent six years busking and touring the bluegrass festival circuits and small venues without attracting the attention of major labels.
