Mom dies taking selfie. A family had a horrifying experience. What seemed like a pleasant family afternoon, ended in disaster when Rosy Loomba fell to her death. This happened when she and her husband wanted to take a selfie but Rosy lost her balance.

According to The Sun, she died in front of her family. Rosy and her husband climbed over the safety fence to get the perfect photo and tragedy struck.

Rosy Loomba, 38, was visiting the picturesque Boroka lookout with her family when she fell off the edge of a cliff in front of her husband and young children. The ravine is about 100 feet deep.

Immediately, a rescue team arrived at the scene but unfortunately they could not do anything to save her. Now, new details have emerged after the coroner investigated the mother’s tragic fall in the Grampian National Park in Victoria, Australia.

It is worth mentioning that the incident happened when Ms. Loomba and her husband Basant got in line to take a photo in front of the view while on a family hike with their two young children. When they got to the front of the line, the couple decided to scale the security fence to take a selfie on the rock ledge.

Tragically Rosy lost her balance and slipped while walking back to her children. The mother of two was left hanging off the edge of the cliff as her husband desperately tried to drag her back to safety. Filed Under: Woman dies taking selfie

After further investigation, the medical examiner found that Rosy died from numerous injuries, including skull fractures and a dislocated spine. Due to this tragedy she stated that the area needs additional security as careless selfie enthusiasts continue to flock to the dangerous overlook.

State Coroner Jacqui Hawkins said: “I note that adventurers and park attendees may continue to climb fences to access lookouts in order to get a photo or for their own curiosity. Mrs Loomba’s death is a reminder of the dangers associated with ignoring signage and fencing, which is put in place to keep people safe.» Filed Under: Woman dies taking selfie

According to the deceased’s sister-in-law, Rosy Loomba was originally from India, she loved spending time outdoors with her family and was dedicated to her two children. «She was a good life partner for my brother and the best mum for her kids.»

Similarly, she added that the entire family is devastated by the terrible loss: «The family is still in shock and it’s really hard to believe.» It’s worth mentioning that the popular selfie lookout in Victoria’s Grampian National Park has a history of tragic falls.
