Benjamín González, better known in the online world as ‘Doña Evelia’, has departed from this earthly plane, leaving many devastated.

Dear Mexican artist dies

Gregorio, known as ‘Doña Catalina’ in the comedy world, shared a video through his social media platforms.

In the video, the actor explained that his friend and coworker had passed away in a hospital in Cancun.

«I want to inform you that Doña Evelia (Benjamín) has left us. Doña Evelia passed away today (referring to yesterday, April 29),» Gregorio mentioned.

«I feel deeply sorry for his mom, his siblings, and his family. All we can do now is pray and ask God to illuminate and guide him,» he added.

Farewell message to Benjamín González

«For those who were asking about his health, he just passed away a few hours ago, his mother is inside (the hospital) taking care of the necessary paperwork to get him released,» he said.

Benjamín’s mother also issued a message, in which she appealed to the TikTok star’s followers for support to cover his hospitalization expenses.

«My son is intubated and has little hope of survival; he is admitted to the General Hospital of Cancun,» she said before the comedian’s death occurred.

Gregorio, the actor and friend of Benjamín, mentioned that the comedian was at the General Hospital Jesús Kumate Rodríguez, and it was there where he lost his life.

Condolences on social media

Benjamín González’s body was taken to the funeral home at Funeraria Cancún, in Quintana Roo, as detailed by the ‘Milenio‘ media outlet.

Later, it was reported that the TikTok star’s body was transported to Jamiltepec, Oaxaca, his hometown, where he would ultimately be laid to rest.

The cause of Benjamín González’s death was attributed to complications arising from anemia he was suffering from. It was also mentioned that he was dealing with hemorrhoids, which had led to significant blood loss.
