The Trump trial concludes
The prosecution highlighted the existence of irrefutable evidence that suggests that Trump falsified documents to silence Daniels and safeguard his presidential run in 2016.
Attorney Joshua Steinglass, in an attempt to leave a lasting impression on the jury, has portrayed Trump as the epicenter of this historic criminal trial, the first in for an ex-president in U.S. history
“In reality, Michael Cohen – Trump’s former lawyer and right-hand man who made the payment to Daniels – was more of a fixer for the defendant than his lawyer,” he said.
“Like all fixers, Cohen knew where the bodies were buried and it was essential to keep him loyal,” Steinglass noted.
The jury will decide Donald Trump’s future
The serious charges against Trump stem from payments that Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, made to silence Stormy Daniels, according to The Associated Press.
Prosecutors argue that the payment, made days before the 2016 election, was crucial in preventing a 2006 infidelity story from coming to light. This could have jeopardized Trump’s electoral victory.
Cohen testified that he was reimbursed by Trump for the payment.
The case has captured national and international attention, with observers eager to see how the jury will evaluate the evidence and what the outcome for Donald Trump will be.
