Shooting reported at Atlanta nightclub

Police immediately responded to a call about an injured person, this occurred around 2:30 am local time.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found six people injured by gunshots, resulting in the deaths of a man and a woman at the scene.

The deceased victims were later identified as 20-year-old Nykris Ridley and 21-year-old Mari Creighton.

Status of the victims after the shooting

According to stories from Creighton’s family to the aforementioned media, she was celebrating a birthday with friends at the club when the tragic incident occurred.

In addition to the deceased, four more people, two men and two women, were taken to nearby hospitals in stable condition and are expected to survive.

Police indicated that all of the victims were apparently patrons of the club, aged between 20 and 30 years old.

Which suggests that the shooting took place during a social gathering related to Mari’s celebration, the portal noted.
