Why was El Babo in prison for 9 months?

In 2007, El Babo was jailed for nine months after being charged in the accidental homicide of Ulises Nayit Buenrostro.

He was his friend and bandmate — a real tragedy.

The incident occurred on the night of March 30, when Eduardo met Ulises and Juan ‘Micky’ Chávez, the band’s driver.

El Babo fired a .38 caliber gun, killing Ulises instantly and hitting ‘Micky’ in the leg.

The singer was aware he might spend 25 to 40 years in prison, but luckily that didn’t happen.

Was it hard for El Babo in prison?

During a part of the interview, according to infobae, El Babo said he was punished in jail for smuggling cell phones.

«I was punished for a while because they thought I was involved in some phones that came into the cells where I was,» he said.

He spent nearly four months in a space without ventilation, unable to read or write, and completely isolated.

«I didn’t know if it was night or day, 24 hours of that buzzing light… a damn… all-white cell…,» he said.
