Ana María Polo is probably the most famous lawyer among Hispanics. The host of the successful program Caso Cerrado, has generated a lot of curiosity about her personal life. She was married once and has one son. The reason she hasn’t had more children is mysterious.

Born in Cuba, Dr. Polo emigrated to Miami to continue her studies, but she did not expect that she would find success there and create one of the most watched programs in the Hispanic community. Ana María Polo, is by far one of the most beloved television personalities.

Ana María Polo’s first marriage!

According to Suelta la Sopa, Ana María Polo emigrated to Miami to be able to continue her law studies. However, she met her first, and only, husband in the Florida city. At the age of 19 she married the man whose identity is unclear.

Shortly after getting married, she became pregnant. The good news was short-lived since Ana María had a miscarriage at four months. This led to Polo and her husband’s marriage deteriorating and they ended up divorcing.

Dr. Polo has an adopted child!

According to Children and Family Services, “Children are placed in foster care either by court order (involuntary placement) or because their parents are willing to have the children temporarily placed in out-of-home care (voluntary placement).”

After suffering a miscarriage and ending her first marriage at the age of 19, Ana María Polo went through one of the hardest times of her life. She got a second chance at being a mother when she adopted a foster child she named Peter and she is very proud to have raised him.

In an interview with Suelta La Sopa in 2016, Dr. Polo was asked if she was willing to become a mother again and she replied: “But boy, I am 57 years old. I already did all that, I raised a boy who is now 31 years old. He is married, he is happy we talk to each other. ” She seemed very happy.

Children and Family Services says that when a judge confirms tboth biological parents are unable to care for their child, he or she is placed with a new family. This was the case with Dr. Polo and she says that she feels «proud to contribute to Peter’s life.»

«Of course I consider him a son.» Those were the words of Ana María Polo when she was asked what Peter is to her. This young man got married and had a daughter named Cossette and has a very good relationship with her grandmother. Dr. Polo often shares photos on social media.
