  • Trump’s sentencing date is set.
  • He was found guilty on 34 charges.
  • He could face prison time.

The judge will announce Donald Trump’s sentence on July 11.

The Republican candidate was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying documents to conceal an adulterous relationship to avoid jeopardizing his presidential run in 2016.

After hearing the jury’s guilty verdict, Judge Juan Merchan announced that he will read the sentence on July 11 at 10:00 a.m.

This will come days before the Republican National Convention, which begins on July 15.

The Republican Convention will be when Trump is officially announced as the party’s candidate, as all his rivals have withdrawn from the race.

So far, Trump is leading his Democratic rival, the President Joe Biden, who is seeking re-election in almost all the polls.

Judge Merchan can sentence Trump to anything from probation to four years in prison.

Although no article of the Constitution prevents a convict from running for president, it’s unclear what would happen if he receives a prison sentence.

Donald Trump this Thursday became the first former president of the United States to be found guilty in a criminal trial.

He was found guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to paying a porn actress to protect his 2016 presidential run.

He heard the sentence from the New York jury with a sad face and a frown.

On Wednesday he told the press that not even Mother Teresa would have been found not guilty in this trial.

Since this trial began, a month and a half ago, Trump has insisted that it is a witch hunt by the Democrats to intervene in his candidacy.

«The trial was a rigged and a sham. The real verdict will be given on November 5 by the people of the United States,» Trump declared after hearing the verdict.

President Joe Biden’s campaign stated that the verdict shows that «no one is above the law.»

The jury, made up of seven men and five women, was in charge of deciding whether Trump was guilty of the 34 charges brought against him.

All related to the reimbursement to his lawyer for paying a total of $130,000 in 2016 to porn actress Stormy Daniels to silence a sexual relationship in 2006.

Judge Juan M. Mechan will announce his sentence on July 11.

Trump could be sentenced to house arrest and up to four years in prison, but he is unlikely to wind up behind bars.

In any case, he will no longer be able to vote in U.S. elections as a convicted felon.
