Four young Venezuelans face charges in a case of violent robbery in Denver.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office for the District of Colorado announced these individuals’ connections to the Tren de Aragua gang.
The robbery took place on June 24th at El Ruby Jewelry Store, emptying the premises in three minutes.
Security footage shows the violent assault carried out by eight armed men.
Tren de Aragua Defendants Face Charges for Violent Robbery in Denver
Two women were threatened with guns while a young woman fled with a baby.
One of the accused, Jean Franco Torres-Román, was arrested in New Mexico.
Torres-Román entered the U.S. without documents in September 2023.
El Paso police arrested other suspects shortly after the robbery.
DHS confirmed that the suspects were transferred to Denver.
Torres-Román faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated robbery.

The Tren de Aragua, originating in Venezuelan prisons, has been operating in Denver for months.
The Border Patrol had flagged members of the Tren de Aragua for deportation.
Venezuela stopped receiving deportation flights from the U.S. in June.
Torres-Román was already wanted for a shooting in Denver that occurred on June 11th.
He was previously detained in Chicago for illegal possession of firearms.
The case has led to the formation of a special task force in Colorado.
