One of the most notable special payments is due to the implementation of the American Rescue Plan. More than a million residents in the United States can claim payments of up to $1,400.

Especially those who did not claim the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit or did not file a return that year.

The deadline to claim these payments is April 15, 2025, so there is still time for those who have not done so.

«People who earned little or nothing in 2021 may also be eligible,» detailed the IRS.

In New York, up to 8.6 million residents will be able to receive stimulus payments ranging from $300 to $500, as part of Governor Kathy Hochul’s fiscal 2026 budget proposal.

This payment aims to alleviate inflation in the state and is considered the first refund for this purpose.

The state’s tax refund program has returned more than $5.5 billion to taxpayers in recent years, and now continues with this new initiative to help middle-class families.

In Colorado, the Property Tax/Rent/Heat Rebate (PTC) program is providing stimulus payments to low-income residents to mitigate the high cost of these services.

Those who have not yet submitted their application for this benefit can do so until December 31, 2025, with payments of up to $1,112 per year.

This payment is aimed at those who earned less than $18,016 in 2023, or joint filers with incomes up to $24,345.

Meanwhile, in Sacramento, California, the Sacramento Family First Economic Support Pilot Program (FFESP) has launched a monthly stimulus program that grants $725 to low-income families, with a special focus on Native American and African American communities.

This program aims to help cover essential costs such as housing, food, and childcare.

«It’s an effort to address poverty and reduce economic disparities,» explained the program director.

Each of these payments has a direct impact on the neediest communities, offering economic relief in difficult times.
