However, his daughter informed some of his former teammates that this was not true, though he was in critical condition and had undergone surgery.

Unfortunately, in the early hours last Thursday, the death of this former Diablos Rojos del Toluca player was confirmed.

According to information from Fox Sports, the former soccer player Jorge Rodríguez reportedly died as a result of a rare disease.

It is known as Fisher Evans Syndrome, a condition that causes loss of coordination and balance, muscle paralysis or weakness, and loss of reflexes.

At this time, the official cause of his death has not been confirmed.
