A close friend of the actress confirmed the news on Facebook and stated that she was sad about her passing. After that,Lawson’s daughter confirmed the news and implied that cancer was the cause of her death.

The actress worked in series and soap operas, becoming a soap opera icon. She landed one of her most outstanding roles in 1981, when she was cast as Bea Reardon on Guiding Light. Lawson died a few weeks after her partner Jerry ver Dorn, who was also on the soap opera, died, according to The Sun.

She pointed out that she appreciated the love and struggle of her mother, who had to face cancer until the end of her days. In the post she shared on Facebook, Leslie, the actress’s daughter, thanked her mother for the good times they had and for giving her life. Likewise, she thanked her family for their support in times of need. “Rest, brilliant woman. Thanks Mom. Rest in peace. And thank you, Susan Gray, (Aunt Suzie), Nancy Georgini and Patrick Fredrickson,” shared the young woman on Facebook. She received several messages of affection and condolences in the response to the post. The actress’s daughter also shared several photos of her mother at different times.

What was her cause of death?

Although the cause of death was not disclosed, her daughter Leslie Bova, through comments on the photo she shared of her mother and the short writing she shared on her personal Facebook, highlighted that Lee was fighting cancer and that even the end she kept fighting. Bove did not give more details to the regard.
