Is Trump’s Worst Fear Coming True? A migrant caravan departed from Mexico toward the United States on Sunday night.

Approximately 1,500 migrants make up this caravan, walking from southern Mexico to the U.S. in pursuit of the American Dream.

This is the third caravan heading to the U.S. since Donald Trump was elected president a month ago.

It’s worth noting that, according to reports from El Horizonte, none of the previous caravans have successfully crossed into the U.S. as they have been dispersed in Mexico.

The caravan includes Cubans, Haitians, Guatemalans, Hondurans, Colombians, and Venezuelans, many of whom fear Trump’s presidency, which begins in January.

These migrants explained that they want to reach the U.S. before Trump assumes office and implements his plan for mass deportations.

Some stated that if offered jobs in Mexico—a plan previously mentioned by President Claudia Sheinbaum—they might consider staying.

Mexico’s National Guard and the National Institute of Migration are responsible for monitoring migrant caravans.

This weekend, Mexican authorities dispersed two earlier caravans that had been on their way to the U.S. for weeks.

Authorities provided buses to transport migrants to other cities in Mexico to regularize their immigration status. However, many migrants fell victim to organized crime.

A few days ago, President Claudia Sheinbaum offered migrants the option to stay in Mexico, seek work, or explore ways to return to their home countries.

Trump, meanwhile, has threatened to impose a 25% tariff on Mexican products entering the U.S. if Mexico fails to curb migration.
