Iván Archivaldo ‘El Chapito’ Guzmán is one of the eldest sons of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán and Maria Alejandrina Salazar Hernández. He is the product of head of the Sinaloa Cartel’s first marriage. He is considered the spoiled son El Chapo.

Known in the world of drug trafficking as the king of cocaine, he has managed to preserve the heritage that comes with being the son of El Chapo. His cunning and ease in getting involved with the drug world is something that Iván dominates perfectly.

El Chapito is an eccentric, lover of luxuries and the good life that comes with working in the world of drug trafficking. He heads the list of children of Joaquín Guzmán Loera. His family says that he is the favorite of the head of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Although he is wanted by the law, it is not an impediment for him to share his luxury cars, expensive parties, exotic animals, beautiful women, weapons and cocaine on alleged social networks. Iván adopted these tastes thanks to his father.

El Chapito’s parents

According to La Silla Rota, Iván Archivaldo was born on October 2, 1990. He came from Joaquín Guzmán Loera’s first marriage to Maria Alejandrina Salazar Hernández. El Chapo and María Alejandrina married in 1987 and had Jésus Alfredo, Iván Archivaldo, Alejandrina Gisselle and César.

His father has a special fixation on him because ,in addition to the paternal love between them, there is a mutual admiration for being top leaders in the world of drug trafficking. That is why Iván is nicknamed El Chapito, in honor of his father.

El Chapito studied to be a pilot

According to the Minister of the Government of Bolivia, Arturo Murillo, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán was included in the records to enter the Legislative Assembly of that country in 2016. Therefore, the relationship between the son of El Chapo and Bolivia began to be investigated.

Similarly, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, a city in Bolivia, records showed that El Chapito was there to study for his pilot’s license. After the authorities identified this, El Chapito disappeared and abandoned his pilot career.

Lover of corridos

In one of his alleged Instagram accounts, a story appeared where El Chapito shared a fragment of a corrido named after him in honor of Iván Archivaldo himself, played by singer Virlán García.

In the video, what was supposed to be Iván’s face appeared, with the text @therealivanguzman. In the background you could hear his corrido in honor of the son of El Chapo. Similarly, the group Los Alegres del Barranco wrote a song for Archivaldo Guzmán.

The luxurious weapons of El Chapo’s son

For Iván Archivaldo Guzmán there are no limits. Making use of his social media to share his luxuries is something he is known for. Such is the case of an image published by one of his supposed accounts where he showed one of the luxurious weapons that he always carries.

The weapon stood out for being a unique piece made for Iván, as it bore the initials ‘IAG’ encrusted with diamonds. To date, the model of the weapon is unknown. What is known for sure is that, according to experts, the jewels are between 35,000 and 40,000 Mexican pesos.

A wanted man

In 2005 Iván Archivaldo Guzmán entered the world of drug trafficking. That same year he was captured after an operation. Linked to money laundering, El Chapo’s son was arrested and taken to the Puente Grande Federal prison. Three years later he was released due to lack of evidence.

Currently, the United States is offering $5 million for any information that leads to the capture of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán or one of his brothers Jésus Alfredo and Ovidio Guzmán.
