Nicole Brown Simpson, who was originally from Germany, was married to OJ Simpson from 1985 to 1992. They had two children named Sydney and Justin.

Nicole was just 18 years old when she met the football star while working as a waitress at a private club in Beverly Hills.

At that time, ‘Juice’ was still married to his first wife, Marguerite, whom he would divorce shortly afterward.

Unfortunately, during the years Nicole was married to OJ, he physically abused her on multiple occasions.

After seven years of marriage, Nicole Brown Simpson filed for divorce from OJ, citing irreconcilable differences.

However, they reconciled shortly after, though she eventually and her children eventually moved out of the home they shared.

On June 12, 1994 she was stabbed at the entrance to her home along with her friend, 25-year-old waiter Ron Goldman.

After midnight, on June 13, her body was found at the foot of the front stairs.

According to the autopsy results, Nicole Brown Simpson received seven stab wounds to the neck and scalp.

OJ Simpson’s ex had a 14-centimeter cut across her throat, which severed the carotid arteries.

Her jugular vein was also severed. The neck wound penetrated nearly two centimeters into the cervical vertebra.

This nearly caused her head to be severed from her torso. She fought her attacker and had defensive wounds on her hands.

The public was captivated by the «trial of the century,» which was broadcast live on television.

This case ignited a series of debates about racism, domestic violence, celebrity fame and police misconduct.

The evidence collected at the scene seemed to condemn OJ Simpson. It included blood, bloody footprints and the infamous glove.

Another blood-stained glove was found at Nicole Brown Simpson’s residence.

OJ Simpson did not testify during his trial, but the prosecutors asked him to try on the bloody gloves in court, according to People.

He struggled to fit them onto his hands and uttered just three words during the trial: «They’re too small.»

His lawyer, Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., addressed the jury with a phrase: «If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.»

Finally, a jury acquitted him of the murder charges in 1995, but he was found liable for the deaths in a 1997 civil trial.
