Protesters across the United States and in cities like Paris, Berlin, and Lisbon took to the streets on Saturday in a wave of “Hands Off” demonstrations organized by Democratic activists.
These protests were a direct response to the Trump administration’s immigration policies and the recent mass layoffs led by the Department of Government Efficiency.
In Washington, Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and other American cities, demonstrators carried signs with slogans like “Fight the Oligarchy” and “Unity Before Division.”
The demonstration in the nation’s capital featured prominent Democratic members of Congress, who urged attendees to maintain resistance against policies deemed unjust.

He denounced the layoffs and budget cuts that have affected thousands of federal workers since Elon Musk took office at the Department of Government Efficiency in January.

Tech magnate Elon Musk, now heading the DOGE, has come under fire for his role in the layoffs and shutdowns of government programs, according to NBC News.
Responding to accusations of protest funding and calls for accountability, Musk gave a brief response last Saturday: “They will.”
The «Hands Off» protests weren’t limited to the United States; European cities like Paris, Berlin, and Lisbon also saw demonstrations in solidarity with American protesters.
International outrage reflects growing concern over policies and decisions that affect not just U.S. citizens but global communities as well.
These protests signal a surge in popular resistance against what many see as unfair and arbitrary decisions by the federal government and figures like Trump and Musk.
With a unified message of “Hands Off,” Democratic activists and supporters aim to maintain public pressure and awareness around these critical issues.
