According to People en Español, the actors met in 2007 while filming the soap opera Nadie es eterno en el mundo, in Colombia, where they are both from. Later they met again to film the soap opera Sin senos no hay paraíso. In 2009 they made their relationship official.
Ten years later, in 2019, they got married in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. So far neither of them has said anything about the real reasons that brought them to the point of divorce. Both Carmen and Sebastián decided to take different paths.
