Actor Dick Van Dyke and singer Cher are among the thousands of people evacuated in California due to a wildfire in the Malibu area.

Van Dyke, who turns 99 this Friday, evacuated his home with his wife Arlene and their pets when the fire, named Franklin, threatened their community.
“Arlene and I evacuated safely with our animals, except for Bobo, who ran off as we were leaving,” the actor stated, expressing hope that their cat would return unharmed.
