Daniela Luján explained days earlier on her YouTube channel Envinadas that the sneakers were not only for her but that she also asked her guests to wear them.

“I don’t know if I mentioned this, but at the wedding, it’s mandatory to wear sneakers, and I think it’s spectacular… it’s mandatory! It’ll be formal but with sneakers,” she said excitedly.

This wedding detail sparked mixed reactions on social media.

While some supported her for prioritizing comfort, others quickly criticized her decision. “It’s her wedding, and she can wear whatever she wants, especially if it’s for comfort,” one social media user noted.
