New details have emerged about Matthew Livelsberger, a former U.S. Special Forces soldier.
The man used generative artificial intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT, to plan an attack that culminated in the explosion of a Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel.
Police uncovered this detail after reviewing the search history and activity records of the 37-year-old Green Beret.
According to the investigation, Livelsberger had searched for specific information on explosive targets, the speed of certain projectiles, and the legality of fireworks in Arizona.

According to official sources, the ex-soldier left notes on his phone explaining the reasons behind the explosion.
In these notes, he mentioned that the attack was a «call for attention» to the problems facing the country and a way to deal with the emotional trauma accumulated from his combat experiences.
«I need to clear my mind of the brothers I’ve lost and relieve the burden of the lives I’ve taken,» Livelsberger wrote.
The incident occurred on January 1, just before 9 a.m. Surveillance footage shows the Cybertruck arriving at the Trump International Hotel and exploding in flames moments later.
Fragments of glass and metal were thrown towards pedestrians, causing panic in the area. Multiple explosions were heard as black smoke filled the air.
According to the AP, Livelsberger shot himself before the vehicle exploded.
Found Inside the Cybertruck
Matthew Livelsberger’s body was found inside the Cybertruck, but authorities noted that it was too burned to be visually identified.
Alongside him, a gun, a passport, an iPhone, and several firearms were found.
That same day, police raided his home in Colorado Springs looking for additional evidence that could clarify his motivations and potential accomplices.
Authorities are analyzing whether Livelsberger acted alone or if he was part of a larger plan related to domestic terrorism.
CNN reported that the Cybertruck contained fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel.
The driver had connected these materials to a detonation system, according to investigators.
This revelation raises concerns for authorities due to the meticulous nature of the attack and the possibility that Matthew Livelsberger designed it to maximize damage.
Livelsberger had recently served as a Special Forces operations sergeant in Germany but was on leave at the time of the attack.
