Chiquis Rivera has made shocking revelations about her aunt Rosie Rivera in her new reality show, Chiquis Sin Filtro, available on ViX.
In a video that went viral on Univision’s official account, Chiquis states, “Rosie had a lot to do with the distance between my mom and me.”
The singer claims that her aunt Rosie was responsible for her inability to communicate with her mother, Jenni Rivera.
“When Chiquis wanted to talk to her mom, Rosie would tell her that ‘Jenni wasn’t ready yet.’”

Chiquis reveals that since her mother passed away, her uncle Juan became very close to Rosie, claiming:
“Rosie has always had an issue with me since I was born, and since she had all the power because she controlled everything that belonged to my mom, he got very close to her.”
The singer also mentions that Rosie has never liked her and that “she was the person in the middle, I wanted to talk to my mom, and she would tell me ‘your mom’s not ready,’ and my mom thought I wasn’t trying to reach out.”
Chiquis shares that for a long time, she lived in fear that one of her mom’s fans might harm her.
She adds that she decided to speak out because “she has to defend herself and the love that existed between her and her mother.”
During the video, her social media assistant, Omi, recounts how Rosie once told him: “Promise me something, that you will never love Chiquis the way you love my sister.”

Chiquis clarifies that Omi didn’t tell her about this until years later.
“My mom always used to say, put this Bible, mom, God is my witness, so many times, he’s a frustrated singer, he’s frustrated, that’s what she used to say, my mother’s words,” Chiquis says, referring to her uncle Juan.
Chiquis Rivera Talks About Forgiveness and Family Truths
“My uncle Juan said he thought his time had come when my mom passed away, that it would be his time, I swear he told me that,” Chiquis shared.
The singer concludes the video by saying, “Things will never be the same, but I believe in forgiveness, even if they don’t ask for forgiveness, I will forgive them,” she affirmed.
With one condition, “but I do need everyone to take responsibility for their actions,” referring to Rosie and Juan.
Chiquis ends by confessing that she feels relieved to have told the whole truth and that she had never dared to do so before.
