Antonio Agustín, the Guatemalan accused of taking María Gómez Pérez from her home, will soon face justice.
The detainee is being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail in Ohio.
Since July 25, the day of his arrest, Agustín has remained in the detention center.
Next Thursday, August 1, Agustín will have a court hearing.

At 9 a.m., he will appear before Judge Michael J. Ernest, who will decide on his extradition to Georgia.

María Gómez Pérez, after 57 days missing, was found safe and sound.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office shared the news on its Facebook page on July 25.

According to Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch, Maria had been in contact with Antonio Agustin, 34, for some time.
The girl had expressed her unhappiness at home and her desire to leave by communicating with other adult men online and telling them the same thing.
