Man kills wife in Sioux Falls, then creates GoFundMe to bury her

The tragic murder of 44-year-old Angela Dawn Ledbetter shocked the community of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after police found her dead in her home.

Angela was discovered deceased last Monday on the 5300 block of Anthony Avenue, according to Dakota News Now.

Lieutenant Aaron Nyberg stated that the Lincoln County coroner determined her cause of death to be manual strangulation homicide.

Investigations quickly pointed to Angela’s husband, Jimmie Ledbetter Jr., as the prime suspect.

Thanks to surveillance footage and other evidence, detectives arrested Jimmie Ledbetter Jr., who now faces first-degree murder charges.

He is expected to appear in court on Friday, as reported by the aforementioned media.

Incredibly, before his arrest, Ledbetter had created a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his wife’s funeral expenses.

This has sparked outrage in the South Dakota community.

«People should always be careful when donating money online and thoroughly research the situation before sending money to anyone.»

Angela’s family, who knew her as Angie Scholl due to her ongoing divorce, has also spoken out.

They have started their own fundraising campaign to help cover funeral costs and support Angie’s children during these difficult times.

This terrible event, besides revealing the family’s grief, reminds us of the importance of cherishing loved ones and expressing affection in life.
