It has not been the best of years for the entertainment world in Mexico. Just a few hours ago, the news of the death of the renowned actress María Luisa Coronel was announced, so the condolences and wishes for a speedy recovery for the artist’s family did not take long to arrive.

The National Association of Actors (ANDA) announced the passing of this outstanding actress on Instagram. In August actors Adriana Roel, Manuel Ojeda and Anabel Gutierrez passed away. The first week of this month hadn’t even ended when there was another death in the entertainment world.

Among the productions renowned actress María Luisa Coronel appeared, and for which she is most remembered, is the film The Arrival, a 1996 American-Mexican science fiction film directed by David Twohy and starring Charlie Sheen, who is known for the series Two and a Half Men.

Also, María Luisa appeared in Crimen sin perdón and Duro y parejo en la casita del pecado. On television, she acted in the telenovelas Amigas y rivales (along with the Puerto Rican actress and host Adamari López), Los parientes Pobres and María José. One of her last films was Hilda (2014), directed by Andrés Clariond.

In one of the few images that can be found of María Luisa Coronel on social media, since apparently she was not very fond of sharing photographs of her personal life, the artist is accompanied by Chuy Cuéllar and Chilo González enjoying a delicious meal in a seafood establishment: «Holy, what a blessing.»
