Who is Simon Cowell?

According to The Sun, Simon Cowell is famous all over the world for his harsh yet lovable critiques. He has been a judge on numerous competition shows, such as America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor and American Idol.

He originally joined the panel of judges on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. With the auditions ending on August 2, 2022, the judges, except Sofía Vergara, have chosen the acts that will move on to the next round of the NBC show.

The prominent 62-year-old judge

The golden buzzer acts, including saxophonist Avery Dixon, vocal trio Chapel Hart, singer-songwriter Lily Meola, singer Madison Baez, dance group Mayyas and singer Sara James had already finished, but the judges were tasked with adding more to the lineup.

And this season, the number of successful contestants who advanced to the live shows increased from 36 to 55. Ready for the new season

Britain’s Simon Cowell is more than ready to kick off the revamped live shows of America’s Got Talent where he will decide which contestants remain in the competition. Even before starting Tuesday’s episode Cowell talked about what viewers can expect this season.

“We had a lot of great people this year. So trying to get that number down to 36 would have been really difficult. In a way, we’ve made it easier by putting more people through. In other ways, we’ve made it harder because only two people a night are going to make it to the finals. But I think that’s more exciting,» explains 62-year-old Cowell. A new format for AGT

The17th season of AGT will have a new format and Cowell explains what it will be like: “Not knowing what’s going to happen until it happens, I think, makes it more exciting. Compared to where we were a year ago, where seven people went through per night, I didn’t feel there was much at stake, if I’m being honest,” he told People.

“I think the Wednesday shows will have a very different dynamic and energy this year. It does put more pressure on contestants, there’s no question. But that was done so we could see more people this year. When we had to decide the 55 [acts], it really was difficult because you’ve got a limited amount of time to make the decision. No one can agree. So in the end, we were like, ‘Well, let’s just look at who’s got the most view counts. Who do we think the public want to see the second time?’ You’re never going to get it a hundred percent right. But I think we pretty much got it right,” Cowell said. Filed Under: Who is Simon Cowell
