A frightening looking and violent man is holding up taco trucks in North Houston with a shotgun. The Robbery Division of the Houston Police Department (HPD) revealed details about the chain of robberies of popular food trucks.
HPD Robbery Division officers have already reported 12 violent robberies. They all occurred in August at various food trucks in the Hispanic community in North Houston. The man does not even cover his face during the robberies, as you can see here in a video.
Who is the armed robber who has Houston’s taquerias on edge?
The first robbery committed by the scowling man occurred on the night of Tuesday, August 9 at a food truck located at 2800 West Mount Houston Road, right on the corner of Lincoln Drive. His modus operandi is quite simple. He enters the businesses armed with a shotgun.
After the robber points a gun at the customers and employees of the food trucks, he demands all the cash inside. The man allegedly speaks in Spanish and angrily insults his victims until they comply with his demands. Filed Under: Man robs Houston food trucks
Police ask for help to stop the violent thief
According to HPD’s Robbery Division, the violent thief is between 18 and 24 years old and in each of his 12 robberies so far he has not bothered to cover his face. He carries a black, sawed-off shotgun.
The Robbery Division of HPD and the non-profit organization Crime Stoppers of Houston are offering $5,000 to whoever provides the reliable lead that allows the arrest of the furious man with the shotgun. Man robs up to 2 taco trucks in one day in Houston
The violent robber is targeting taquerias in North Houston. On Wednesday, August 10, he hit two different food trucks on the same night.

Man robs taquerias in North Houston
Since then, the chain of robberies has been committed on I-45, West Little York, Cedar Hill Lane, West Bank Gulf Road, West Mount Houston Road, East Little York Road, Airline Drive and Shady Lane, totaling 12 violent robberies of only Hispanic food trucks.
The last robbery occurred on Sunday, August 21, and the thefts have Hispanic food merchants on edge. The authorities believe that there could be more victims, but that they may not have dared to report the man for fear of reprisals.
