The load capacity of the new Amarok will be up to 1.2 tons, while the towing capacity will be up to 3.5 tons. And Agencia Reforma highlighted that it offers an electrically sliding cover for the box. As for motorization, it presents five options, all with turbo, for the various markets where the truck will be offered.

There are three versions of a 2.0-liter displacement four-cylinder turbodiesel, with 147, 167 and 200 horsepower. This last variant is Twin Turbo instead of having single turbo. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 will also be available, which, depending on the market, will have 241 or 250 horses. There is only one option in terms of gasoline engine, which is a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 302 horsepower.
