A local media outlet in Texas filmed the most shocking moments when Border Patrol agents tried to rescue two children who were crossing the Rio Grande in order to enter the United States illegally. Cameras captured the moment when the authorities found one of the dead children.

In the first reports that were released, it was mentioned that a two-month-old baby had died. Border Patrol agents managed to save the baby and immediately transport her to a local hospital. According to the report, one of the children who was killed was around three years old, the New York Post reported.

What happened to the baby?

The two-month-old baby was rescued by Border Patrol authorities, who sent paramedics to save her life; the child had been drowning before authorities could do anything, Fox San Antonio said.

The baby was taken to a San Antonio hospital in critical condition, Eagle Pass Fire Department Chief Manuel Mello told Fox San Antonio. When the authorities reached the children, they realized that a three-year-old boy had been killed in the Rio Grande.

The local media, which was at the scene of the incident, noted that the Border Patrol was making its rounds when they saw a group of migrants who were trying to cross illegally. So far, the authorities have not disclosed what happened to the group of migrants or if they managed to apprehend them.
