Memphis shooter who livestreamed rampage is identified

Terror was unleashed on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 7 in Memphis, Tennessee when a man began shooting inside an auto parts store. The police immediately went to the scene but the man had already fled in his vehicle.

A gunman is wreaking havoc in Memphis, putting the entire city under lockdown after being accused of multiple shootings. The shooter has already been identified by the authorities and now they have begun the search to find him, according to The Sun.

Suspect in Memphis shooting spree identified

On Wednesday, after livestreaming a shooting inside an AutoZone, the Memphis Police Department have identified the suspect as Ezekiel Kelly, 19, who is still at large. The video shows what appeared to be Kelly allegedly shooting people at random while he was on Facebook Live.

The footage was shared on social media, where the shooter gets out of his truck muttering, «This sh… is real,» before entering an AutoZone and apparently shooting a group of people without warning.

Memphis shooting suspect is only 19 years old

Authorities have stated that the suspect is a 19-year-old man who was seen driving a gray Toyota SUV with an Arkansas license plate with numbers: AEV 63K. They have issued a warning that he is dangerous.

Death toll is confirmed

So far it has been reported that there are possibly multiple deaths in the store, after the young man came in shooting. However, they have not issued an official statement to confirm the victims, according to The Sun.

Warning to residents

After the suspect fled, the authorities have issued an alert to the public to stay inside their homes, because the man is very dangerous. «If you don’t have to be outside, stay inside until this is resolved.»
