After the poison was applied to points on her body, Teresa started vomiting non-stop. Her husband received a call saying his wife was being taken to the hospital but doctors were unable to save her.

According to Milenio, Teresa’s autopsy showed that she had been poisoned with kambó, a popular venom from an Amazonian frog. It is believed to have healing properties against depression and anxiety, however too much is deadly. The relatives of the new mother want police to file charges.
