Dallas Love Field is a historic airport in the United States that opened for business on October 19, 1917 as a training base for the Air Force during the First World War. The name of the base, which eventually became a civilian airport, honors Lieutenant Moss Love.

Moss L. Love died during an accident on a training flight, being the first pilot to lose his life there in the service of the United States. Commercial service for civilians did not open until 1930 when the city of Dallas purchased the land from the military.
