Man gets ticket for wearing sagging pants

A ViralHog video began to circulate on social media showing a man receiving a ticket for wearing sagging pants. Many people just think saggy pants are funny or a fashion statement but in some places they’re against the law.

The fine starts at $25 for a first offense, $50 if this happens on a second occasion and $75 for the third time. This is the law in some localities.

In the first images in the video, a man is arrested for violating the «saggy pants» law. In Spanish that would be ‘Pantalones caídos’. A police officer is giving him instructions.

Along with this man who was ticketed, was a friend, who recorded the entire incident and shared it on social media to protest that his friend was ticketed just because of his clothing.

Dressed inappropriately

Because of the man’s sagging pants, the police officers approached him to let him know that he would be fined for the way he was dressed. He was accused of disturbing the peace in the community.

For this reason, the tell the man to get into their patrol car while an officer radioed the station and filled out the ticket. He was also told it would be a larger fine if he’s caught wearing sagging pants again.
