Johana Cabrales Hernandez was shot to death in Georgia by her boyfriend Fabien Perry, who is still a fugitive after the brutal crime. The Roswell Police Department (RPD) needs the help of the community to catch the young Hispanic woman’s murderer.

The crime report against Johana Cabrales Hernández, 23, details that ,on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, shortly after midnight, a call came to the RPD emergency number to report the probable attack on a woman. Roswell, Georgia is a small city northwest of the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Johana Cabrales Hernández’s family told the authorities that they were concerned for her safety. Moments before the call, someone had left the woman’s two children with relatives and that set off alarms.

Johana Cabrales Hernández’s family members rushed to her house at 100 Old Ferry Way to see if she was okay. It is not detailed in the report who brought the woman’s two children to her relatives in Roswell, Georgia.

Hernández’s family reports the crime

When the first RPD officers arrived at the home of Johana Cabrales Hernández, they entered to investigate the alleged crime. The officers discovered her lifeless body at the scene. Immediately the name of her boyfriend, 27-year-old Fabien Perry, 27 came up in the investigation.

RPD officers learned that alleged killer Fabien Perry had already repeatedly beaten his girlfriend Johana Cabrales Hernández, who was the mother of his two children. Before the authorities arrived at the victim’s house, his mother and one of his sisters were already at the scene. They were both in a state of shock.

The incident report details that Johana Cabrales Hernández’s sister heard a knock on her door at around midnight. When she opened it, she saw her two nephews outside and a Honda Civic driving away.

The family of Johana Cabrales Hernández told the authorities in Roswell, Georgia that Fabien Perry was violent with the young Hispanic woman. The man’s abuse towards her had been ongoing since 2019, when she began dating him. He did not stop until he killed her.

Fabien Perry once went so far as to hang his girlfriend Johana Cabrales Hernández, until she was unconscious. RPD detectives in Georgia know the man has an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, which he nicknamed ‘Draco.’ The rifle has not been found.

Fabien Malik Perry coincidentally owns a Honda Civic. Perry is five feet eight inches tall. He is armed and very dangerous. The RPD asks that if anyone knows of his whereabouts, call 770.640.4100. All tips will remain anonymous.

“Our family has been hit by tragedy”

Miriam Cabrales, Johana Cabrales Hernández’s sister, set up Help for Samy’s funeral expenses on GoFundMe, to ask for help in covering the costs incurred by the murder of ‘Samy’, as they affectionately called her.

“Our family has been hit by tragedy… she was taken from us in a senseless act of violence. She leaves here two beautiful babies who are two and seven months. We sincerely ask for your help in raising funds for Samy’s funeral expenses. Whatever is left over will be used to help support the little ones,” she finishes her plea.
