Club Atlética la Paz wrote: “Last June 25 at the age of 29 Alberto Gurrola Castro, goalkeeper coach for minor teams in the Mexican National Team and brother of José Jesús Gurrola Castro, a friend of this great soccer family, passed away.”

WHO WAS THE GOALKEEPING COACH?

The goalkeeper coach was born on April 9, 1993 in the northern city of Hermosillo, in the state of Sonora. He was a former Mexican goalkeeper who had a short career in professional soccer in the Aztec country. The goalkeeper was trained in the basic forces of the Atlas, and became part of the Mexican Under-20 National Team.

Also known as «Gurro» he was the third goalkeeper for the Tricolor in the 2013 U-20 World Cup that took place in Turkey, a team shared by Gibrán Lajúd and Richard Sánchez.
