Mexican journalist and actor, Mario Discua dies. This year has brought many surprises since several celebrities and public figures have been going through some pretty rough patches. So far in March, the entertainment world has mourned the deaths of great artists, filmmakers and designers.

In addition to these deaths, another unfortunate event has just been announced. The Mexican entertainment world is grieving the passing of a beloved journalist and actor. According to Tribuna, Mario Discua spent more than 50 years as a journalist and actor.

On Sunday the news of Mario Discua’s death was announced. He was the beloved host of Maxine Woodside’s Todo para la mujer.

According to Tribuna, his partner Ana María Alvarado, with whom he worked side by side on the famous show, broke the sad news. She made the announcement in a chat room called ‘El Vest’, where several Mexican journalists talk to each other. «Dear colleagues, with deep sadness I inform you that my dear Mario Discua has passed away. Everyone on the program is very sad. Rest in peace.»

Tribuna reported that the cause of death hasn’t been confirmed. However, it seems that Discua passed away due to complications of the spine and he was no longer able to move freely anymore. He was veiled in Gayosso Félix Cuevas in Mexico City.

Mario Discua’s career spanned more than 50 years. According to TV Notas, he joined the Televisa network in the early 1970s as part of the props and wardrobe team for El Chavo del Ocho. He worked for ten years as assistant to El Príncipe de la Canción, José José, and then with the group Pandora. Filed Under: Mexican journalist actor dies.

He eventually joined the program Todo para la mujer. As if that were not enough, he also worked on Televisa Shows and even participated in more than ten soap operas. Most of them were productions by Juan Osorio. He appeared on various episodes of  Como dice el dicho.

Social media shared the news of Mario Discua’s death. The National Association of Interpreters (ANDI) made a statement on Instagram announcing the death of the beloved Mexican journalist and actor who had been in the business for more than 50 years.

«The National Association of Interpreters communicates the death of the interpreting partner Mario Discua, which occurred in CDMX on March 6 of this year,» begins the ANDI statement. Later they remembered the great work of Mario Discua.

“Commentator of the program Todo para la mujer of Radio Formula, who also acted in several soap operas, among them Porque el amor manda and Mi adorable maldición and Sueño de amor. The statement made by ANDI has various comments from celebrities wishing the Mexican journalist and actor a peaceful journey and remembering the great human being that Mario Discua was. Among the celebrities are Angelique Boyer, Cecilia Gabriela and Maribel Guardia.

“Rest in peace,” wrote Maribel Guardia; “Your voice, your smile and seeing you often at the entrance of the production building will be what I will miss the most. Light and peace for your path dear Mari,» were words expressed by Cecilia Gabriela. «Rest in Peace Mario,» wrote Angelique Boyer.

Maxine Woodside also posted thousands of moments she shared with Mario Discua during their collaboration on the program Todo para la mujer. She dedicate an emotional farewell message to the Mexican journalist on Twitter and Instagram.

“It is with great sadness that I inform you that Mario Discua has died. My friend of many years and collaborator on my program. I will miss you my dear Marito.
