In a twist that would seem unusual, a man who murdered his ex-wife, received ‘benefits’ from a judge who didn’t grant him life imprisonment and, on the contrary, his sentence was lowered for a surprising reason, according to information published on the news portal of Crónica.

The man was identified as Juan Carlos Canteros, 73, a retired federal policeman, while the victim’s name was Rosa Agüero. After an argument with her, the man threw naphtha, a flammable substance, at her.
