Sergeant Rick Alexander later told WFAA-TV that a woman had been found dead inside a home and a man was also dead outside the building in the driveway of the home. He also detailed that it was an older woman who called 911 and that she had also been injured in the leg.

After the exchange of fire in which they were injured, the officers were transported to local hospitals. Early Sunday morning, Haltom City Police Detective Matt Spillane told The Associated Press that all of those injured in the shooting had non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to make satisfactory recoveries.
