Isabel Tabares, mother of Daniela Tabares, spoke at the sentencing hearing of her daughter’s killer.
The hearing took place in a Broward County courtroom, with the assistance of a Spanish interpreter.
Yvonne Serrano, 56, was found guilty of second-degree murder.
Serrano was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum of 25 years.

According to police, Serrano shot Tabares outside her home in Coral Springs.
