Sheriff Ed Lester of Butte-Silver Bow, Montana, reported the discovery of a woman’s body.
On Monday afternoon, local police found the body in the yard of a residence in Butte.
The police responded to a report of a possible body shortly after 1 p.m., according to KPAX.

Woman’s body found in Butte, Montana yard
The body was found in the 200 block of South Dakota Street.
According to the statement, the deceased is believed to be an adult woman.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the death was a suicide.
The body will be transported to the Montana State Crime Lab.
