Donald Trump and his team are already planning one of the largest deportation operations in U.S. history.
According to Tom Homan, nicknamed the «border czar,» Trump’s upcoming administration, set to take office on January 20, is accelerating preparations to build “megaprisons” for undocumented migrants.
During a visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, Homan emphasized that efforts to fulfill campaign promises are well underway.
«We’re not waiting until January; we’ve already started planning,» stated Homan, who has decades of experience with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

This program, promoted by Abbott, aims to strengthen border security using military resources and stricter immigration policies.
Homan also inspected the border wall and confirmed that Texas has offered new land for detention centers, a key element of Trump’s strategy, according to El Financiero.
Dawn Buckingham, Texas Land Commissioner, announced that 5.2 million hectares have been identified for these projects.
In addition to 600 hectares previously offered by the state for what is being described as a “megaprison” for undocumented migrants.
The plan involves detaining migrants crossing the border illegally and expediting deportation processes.
Homan stated that the majority of asylum claims result in deportation orders, arguing that nine out of ten applicants do not qualify to remain in the country.
This supports the president-elect’s narrative that immediate action is necessary to address what he describes as a massive immigration crisis.
In addition to border actions, Homan issued a strong warning to governors who have declared they will not cooperate with Trump’s immigration policies.
He specifically addressed Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, who has criticized Trump’s measures and pledged not to pursue migrants in her state.
«Do not cross that line; harboring and hiding illegal migrants is a serious crime. Don’t test us,» Homan warned, emphasizing that immigration laws will be strictly enforced nationwide.
