Reynaldo López Jr. was shot to death in San Antonio, Texas, and authorities need help solving the brutal crime.
The 51-year-old was in his own bedroom when he was shot through the wall and detectives still have no clues in the mysterious crime.
Now the non-profit organization Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who has information about the identity and whereabouts of the murderer.
So far homicide detectives have few clues and the crime scene is a total mystery.
Who shot Reynaldo López Jr.?
At 8:40 pm Friday, November 10, 2023, several people called 911 to report a shooting.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) responded to a house on Ceralvo Street.
When the officers arrived at the scene, several people told them the shots came from inside Reynaldo López Jr.’s home.
SAPD officers entered the house to investigate the report from the troubled neighbors.
Paramedics were unable to save him
The officers discovered Reynaldo López Jr. lying badly injured in his bedroom and immediately called paramedics.
However, when emergency personnel from the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) arrived at the house there was nothing they could do.
Reynaldo López Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene and detectives from the SAPD Homicide Division took over the investigation.
The first mystery that detectives faced was that there were no shell casings in the room.

Detectives believe this may be because the murderer, or murderers, shot him from outside the house.
The case report reveals that Mr. Reynaldo López Jr. was in his bedroom while his mother and a friend were in another room.
The neighbors don’t seem to have seen anyone loitering outside at the time.
It’s even more of a tragedy because Reynaldo López Jr.’s mother had to watch her son die right in front of her.
He is remembered as a generous soul
Reynaldo López Jr.’s brother, René López, spoke with local media about the terrible incident.
«He is a person that, you know, if you needed something to drink, you needed something to eat. You need a place to sleep. That’s the kind of person that he was that he always offered to help,» said René López.
He said López Jr. never refused to help anyone who needed it, according to KENS-5.
