The 20-year-old man who authorities say attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump was Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
Crooks was shot dead by Secret Service officers after opening fire from a rooftop outside the Trump rally site in Butler.
The FBI has not yet determined a motive for the killing, and there are no prior court records against Crooks in Pennsylvania, AP reported.
Trump, the likely Republican presidential nominee, said on social media that he suffered a wound to his right ear in the shooting.
