Where do I vote?

How can I vote?

By Mail: New York requires an excuse for absentee voting, which includes being absent from the county on Election Day, having a disability, residing in a Veterans Health Administration Hospital, or being detained in jail for a non-felony offense.

You can request an absentee ballot online or by downloading an application. Applications must be received 15 days before Election Day for mailed ballots or by the day before Election Day for in-person pickup. Completed absentee ballots can be returned by mail or in person, with in-person ballots due by the close of polls on Election Day and mailed ballots postmarked by Election Day and received within 7 days.

Early Voting: Any registered voter may vote early in-person starting 10 days before Election Day until the 2nd day before. Contact your local board of elections for early voting locations.

Election Day: Polling sites are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. If in line by closing time, you can still vote.
