Registration deadlines: 21 days before Election Day, paper applications are due by 5 p.m., and online registrations by 11:59 p.m. You can also register when voting early in person or on Election Day at your polling place. If you apply for a mail ballot without being registered, officials will include a registration form with your ballot. You must have lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days by Election Day to register and vote there.

Where do I vote?

How can I vote? Minnesota voters can request a mail ballot without prior registration. If unregistered, you’ll receive a registration form with your ballot.

Request a ballot via paper or online application, providing an email and Minnesota ID.

Applications must be submitted the day before Election Day, allowing time for processing.

Your completed ballot must be signed by a registered voter or notarized. Return in person by 3 p.m. on Election Day, or by mail.

Early in-person voting starts 46 days before Election Day at county offices and additional locations.

Polling sites typically open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., with exceptions for smaller towns. If in line by closing time, you can vote.
