A Venezuelan citizen residing in the United States, identified as Raferson Yáñez, has made a request to President Donald Trump.
The young man has publicly requested that, in the event of being deported, he be sent to Peru instead of his native country or other nations like Mexico or Colombia.
Yáñez expressed his request through a video on his TikTok account, where he detailed the reasons behind his choice.
According to his statements, he believes that Peru offers better economic and security conditions compared to other available options for deportees.

“In Mexico, no, because in Mexico they steal a lot and they are kidnapping people.»
«In Colombia, that currency is practically worthless,” Yáñez stated in his TikTok post.
These concerns have led him to consider Peru as a more favorable alternative. He did not detail whether he has previous connections to this country or if he has resided there before.
This situation occurs amid a tightening of immigration policy by President Donald Trump, who has intensified the deportations of Venezuelan citizens.
Additionally, an agreement was recently announced between Washington and Caracas, under which the government of Nicolás Maduro will accept the repatriation of Venezuelans deported from the U.S.
The agreement marks a change in the relationship between both governments, which has been characterized by tensions and questions from Washington about the legitimacy of Maduro’s reelection.
In his video, Yáñez argued that his decision to request Peru as a deportation destination is due to concerns about security and economic stability in the region.
He explained that he rules out Mexico due to high crime rates and that in Colombia, the devaluation of the local currency represents a significant obstacle to settling.
