Milwaukee police have arrested a 13-year-old in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, May 19.

The shooting resulted in the deaths of two teenagers, as reported by local media.

Authorities are searching for two additional suspects, according to WISN.

Tribute to the victims of the fatal shooting in Milwaukee

The fatal shooting took place near 14th Street and Halsey shortly after 10:30 pm.

The victims, both 15 years old, died — one at the scene and the other at the hospital.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Monroe Weso and Alejandro Sánchez.

Family and friends gathered on Tuesday, May 21, at the site of the shooting to honor the victims.

«It’s horrible, it’s like my worst nightmare,» said Dalilah Sanchez, Alejandro’s sister.

Dalilah said she did not know the people responsible for the shooting.

«I would rather it have been an adult because I feel like a child isn’t really punished,» Dalilah commented.

«I’ve been crying all day, non-stop. I can’t imagine it,» said Rylee Paladino, a friend of both victims.

Police ask the public for information about the fatal shooting in Milwaukee

The families of both teenagers have created GoFundMe pages to raise funds for funeral services.

The funerals will be held this week.
