A DEADLY MISTAKE. Two men died of carbon monoxide poisoning due to a terrible mistake they made after they moved into their new home. The authorities revealed that both were found dead inside their house shortly after moving in.

Mack Wilemon, coroner for Tishomingo County, Mississippi, identified the victims as two adult men: Terry White, 57, and Roger Dale Williamson, 36. He revealed the terrible truth about what caused their deaths.

The coroner’s report indicated that the two men who were found dead inside their new home in Belmont, Mississippi, on July 6th, had died from carbon monoxide poisoning, Mack Wilemon told local news outlet WTVA.

The men made a serious error by installing a power generator under their house. It was raining at the time and, apparently, White and Williamson decided to put the power generator under their house to shelter it from the rain.

The authorities did not offer further details, only that their bodies were found on July 6 and the results of the autopsy confirmed that they died of carbon monoxide poisoning in what looks like an accidental death.

According to his obituary, he was buried in Golden, Missouri. He is survived by six children and 15 grandchildren.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has warned about the risk of inhaling carbon monoxide, especially because, “It is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause sudden illness and death,” in a dangerously silent way.

“When power outages occur after severe weather, such as winter storms or hurricanes, using alternative sources of power can cause CO to build-up in a home and poison the people and animals inside,” the agency detailed.

People poisoned with CO can experience headaches, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, and confusion. At extreme levels it can even lead to death. «Every year, at least 430 people die in the US from accidental CO poisoning,” the CDC stated.
