The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is currently searching for two immigrants who escaped from a detention center in Aurora, Colorado.
This occurred following a power outage on Tuesday night.
The escapees have been identified as Geilond Vido-Romero, 24, and Joel José González-González, 32, who managed to flee from the Denver Contract Detention Facility after the electrical interruption caused a door to open.
The escape was detected in the early hours of Wednesday when ICE agents conducted a count of detainees and noticed the absence of the two men.

Vido-Romero, of South American origin, entered the United States on December 20, 2023, near Eagle Pass, Texas.
Subsequently, an immigration judge ordered his deportation on February 18 after he failed to appear at a court hearing. ICE had located him in a Douglas County (Colorado) jail, where he was detained for lacking proper documentation.
On the other hand, González-González entered the U.S. on February 11, 2013, through the port of entry in El Paso, Texas.
He was facing a deportation order for having violated the conditions of his admission into the country.

The Denver Contract Detention Facility, operated by the private company Geo Group, has been the subject of controversy and protests since last Monday, following the detention of Jeanette Vizguerra, a well-known Mexican activist and key figure in the sanctuary movement.
Vizguerra took refuge in a church to avoid deportation during the first administration of former President Donald Trump.
Authorities continue the search for the two fugitives and have requested public collaboration to obtain information about their whereabouts.
